On-The-Go Diary

A free phone app for recording an event while it happens: a concert, a trip, a day out. Write or speak notes, take photos and videos, and the app saves everything to your WordPress site as a draft, ready for you to check and publish. Works with more than one WordPress site.

An iPhone version will follow. More about On-The-Go Diary and how to connect your site.

Finance

A free personal finance tracker for Windows. Everything stays on your own PC: no account, no cloud.

• Imports your bank, card and PayPal statements (PDF, CSV and Excel) and reads photos of your receipts.
• Sorts spending into categories, learns your payees, and finds transfers between your own accounts, including in other currencies.
• Budgets, savings goals, investments and reports, with CSV export.
• Backs itself up automatically to a folder you choose.

Run the download to install. Windows may warn about an unknown publisher: choose More info → Run anyway. To report a problem, use Help → Reporting a problem inside Finance.
