Enjoying California
I arrived at my brothers, and I’ve been spending a little time between my brothers and my daughter in the Bay Area. I’ll be going to Bangkok in July for dental work. This is just good times while I wait. My daughter has been wanting to get me a tattoo for a log time. She took me to Lucky 13 Tattoos – Custom Tattoos & Piercings (l13tat.com), and Aimee did a fantastic job on my first tat. I found a really nice boat in Maryland, so I went to see it. It’s a beautiful boat, I was going to buy it but life wouldn’t let me. Instead, very nice 50-foot Prout in Florida and became available. I put an offer in and now we’re waiting for the buyer survey, and I’ll close and have my boat. I went down to the Bay Area to visit my daughter took her and her fiancé to see the Empire Strips Back, a Star Wars themed burlesque. It was a really good dance review, but not much of a burlesque show. In Chico they had a Rueda at the plaza on Cinco de Mayo, it was a great dance. The people that put it on also ran a dance class, Affinity Arts and Entertainment. I went to the classes. These were great classes and really helped me out with my frame and my lead. I went down to Sacramento couple times to Mangoes for salsa dances. Swung by the Chico club, again had fun. A small-town friendly place. My daughter and I went to Portland for a friend’s graduation. We stopped by Edgefield Hotel – McMenamins, definitely a place worth going back to. I swung by a club and had a great time! The visit was coming to a close, so my brother took me up to spend some quality time. We went to Siera Hot Springs up in high Sierras and spent the night. In the morning, I felt so energized, it was cool and brisk. I decided to go for a little walk, and then a little farther. I saw the sign that said five-mile loop, so a little farther and I walked the loop. After I came back (Safe by the way, no need to call rescue,,) it was time to relax in the hot and cold springs again. We decided to go visit our haunts of our youth. We drove to Nevada city and Grass Valley got pasties at the Marshall’s Pasties – Downtown Grass Valley and headed back to Chico where I swung by and checked out the Pink Tattoo Studios I had met Morgann one of the artists. I am looking to get a Pirate pinup tattoo for the boat. They were having an open house and were swamped. I’ll touch base before I come back up in April to get a tat. I’m finishing up the blog and then tomorrow go to the Bay Area to be with my daughter, get things set and we’ll be off to Bangkok
