My friend and her daughter took me to see the ruins of Ayutthaya. There are so many, it shows what a big city it was. On the way to Ayutthaya we stopped for lunch at a nice local restaurant by the river. seating was unique as we sat on the floor and let our legs dangle to the emptiness under.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the way to the city, we topped at floating city to shop. I had an incredible tasting local treat. the market also put on a little show<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went to one of the several ruins of Ayutthaya. the city was very large, and as time has past, the new city grew up around the ruins. a tuktuk tour will take about 3 hours total. It was very hot so I suggested we do the tour another day. The ruins show some of how beautiful the city must have been.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a day in exploring we stopped at a huge buffet on the river. A fun place with great food, and plenty of it! The staff put two charcoal cookers on the table, you went around, selected your food and cooked it. There was a local band playing. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
